On this page you will see how to Synchronize and A Synchronize (wig-wag) our most popular strobe lights.
STR63AWF & STR63AF lights:
Red wire is power 12v + / Black wire is Ground – / Yellow wire is trigger wire / White wire is for power 12v+ to white light only / Green wire is for asynchronized wig-wag only.
TO SYNCHRONIZE: To run multiple lights synchronized, hook up both lights with red wires to power, black wires to ground and hook up yellow wires together. Touch and hold the yellow wires to power 12v for 5 seconds, the lights will flash and then both lights will turn off for a few seconds, release the yellow wire from power. Now, every time you touch yellow wires to 12v power briefly, both lights will change patterns together.
TO ASYNCHRONIZE (wig-wag) on all patterns.: Follow above instruction for synching lights then just hook up one lights green wire to power and leave that one side connected (green wire to 12v). Now, every time you switch patterns by touching the yellow wires to 12v power, your lights will wig-wag on every pattern
STR-MXA & STR-MXR & STR-MXW lights:
Red wire is power 12v + / White wire is Ground – / Brown wire is trigger wire
TO SYNCHRONIZE: hook up each light to power (red wire) and ground (white wire) then touch the brown wire on each individual light until you get the same pattern on the lights. Once you are sure that each light is on the same pattern, simply connect all the brown wires together. Now, every time you touch the brown wires to GROUND, the patterns will switch together and you are synchronized.
TO ASYNCHRONIZE (wig-wag) on all patterns.: you will be programming each light to be a #1 or a #2. When you are finished with this process, each #1 light connected with a #2 light will wig-wag on every pattern. To make a light a #1, hook up red wire to power and white wire to ground, touch the brown wire to ground until you get the “steady on” pattern. Then, tap the brown wire to ground 5 times really fast, and light should just flicker on-off-on-off-on-off etc. Disconnect that # 1 light from power. To make a light a #2, hook up the red wire to power and the white wire to ground and touch the brown wire to ground until you get the “steady on” pattern. Then, tap the brown wire 5 times really fast to get the light to flicker just like the first light. Once the # 2 light is flickering on-off-on-off-on-off, touch the brown wire to ground wire twice (2x) and the flicker will change to a double flash flicker. Now that light is a #2. When #1s are connected with #2s then they wig-wag on every pattern.
Make sure when finished with Synch or Asynch that all red wires are hooked to power and all white wires are hooked to ground, and ALL BROWN wires are connected together.
STR1A & STR1R & STR1W & STR1B lights:
Red wire is 12v + / Black wire is Ground – / White wire is trigger (touch to 12v +) and green wire is for synchronizing lights
Hook up your individual light to 12v red wire, and ground, black wire and light will start flashing, touch trigger wire (brown) to 12v + until you get a specific pattern that you like. Now disconnect this light. Repeat this with each light that you will want to synchronize. Get them all on the same pattern and disconnect from power. After you are finished, tie all GREEN wires together from all the lights and tie all the brown wires together from all of the lights. Now when you turn on power to all of the lights together, they will be on the same pattern and synchronized. Every time you touch white wire to 12v + briefly, then the lights will switch to the next pattern together. Make sure all green wires are connected to each other after you get them on the same pattern, so that they stay synched.
STR61 & STR41 lights ALL COLORS:
Red wire is 12v + / Black wire is ground – / Yellow wire is trigger wire touch to 12v+ and green wire is used in A-synch (wig-wag) only.
For synchronized lights, attach all lights to power, red wires. Attach all black wires to ground, attach all yellow trigger wires together. After turning lights on together touch and hold the yellow wires to 12v + for 3-4 seconds and all of the lights should turn off for one second in unison, then they come back on. Now, every time you touch the yellow trigger wire to 12v + briefly, they all switch to the next pattern together.
For A-Synch or (wig-wag) follow the above instructions, then attach the green wire from the lights you want to wig-wag to the power 12v+ and leave it attached. Now, when you turn on the lights, all of the lights with green wire attached to power 12v + will wig wag with the lights that don’t have the green wire attached to power. Make sure all the power wires are combined to same power and all of the yellow trigger wires are attached together, so that they switch patterns all at the same time.
