Thank You Notes

What happened to hand-written thank you notes?

They have seemingly gone the way of the dinosaur. Of course, I still receive email thank you notes; and too often I’m part of a list of people that received the same ‘thank you’ note. Sorry, that’s just not impressive.

But what happens when I receive a personally written thank you note? It evokes emotion and causes me to remember them favorably.

Will hand-written thank you notes to your customers make a difference in your annual sales? Maybe.

Will a hand-written thank you notes to your customers cause them to think of you differently than your competitors?

You bet it will. And that’s the beginning of an opportunity for a better relationship.
